App is crashing repeatedly

The app keeps crashing and I don't want to uninstall it and reinstall. Please help

Assalamualaikum, unfortunately I can’t see my boomarks anymore. There is an label saying “Error: Bad state: No element”. I would really appreciate if you could fix it or if there is an other way to get access to my bookmarks. Barakallah feeki.

When I select play audio with Qari Khaled Al-Muhanna and set repeat selection (e.g. 1 or 3) there is no audio after it has played the range but the stop button is visible as if it is still playing. I have not noticed this when using other Qari. However Qari Khaled Al-Muhanna works on repeat in ios app

I’ve noticed a consistent and distracting "audio bleed" whenever the Repeat Ayah and Range setting is active. Instead of terminating cleanly at the end of the selected Ayah, the playback engine triggers 1-2 letters (approximately 200-500ms) of the subsequent Ayah before the loop reset or the range stop kicks in.

This happens across almost all recitations (Mishar Al-Afasy WBW, etc.) and across different styles like Mujawwad and Murattal. It breaks the flow of memorization and tajweed practice and is very ditracting. To be really honest, I am facing this issue since 3 years but now I want this issue to be fixed more than ever.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Surah Al-Baqarah.

2. Set Range/Repeat to Ayah 5 only (Ayah 5 to Ayah 5).

3. Listen to the end of the Ayah ("...muflihoon").

Observed Behavior:

The audio plays "...muflihoon," followed by a brief 0.5s pause, then you clearly hear the start of Ayah 6 ("In-") before the player suddenly snaps back to the start of Ayah 5.

Case 2 Example:

If playing a range of Ayah 5 to 6, it will play Ayah 5, pause, bleed into the start of Ayah 6, stops and snaps again to play Ayah 5, pause, play Ayah 6, and then bleed into the start of Ayah 7 ("Khatam-"), stops and snaps again to play Ayah 6, bleed into the start of Ayah 7 ("Khatam-") before stopping.

Technical Hypotheses for Development Team:

Hypothesis 1: Race Condition

It seems the "Repeat" check logic is being evaluated post-buffer initialization for the next track. If the method to trigger the next audio segment is called before the switch-case or conditional check for the 'repeat' variable, the playback engine has already begun streaming the next file/segment before the UI or logic layer interrupts it to loop back. The "Play Next" method is dominating the "Check Repeat" logic.

Hypothesis 2: Inaccurate Metadata

The issue might be at the data level. If the audio files were segmented using an automated VAD (Voice Activity Detection) or batch-chopping software without manual padding adjustment, the "End of File" (EOF) or timestamp markers likely include a trailing buffer. This would mean the actual audio data for "Ayah 5" physically contains the first few milliseconds of "Ayah 6," making it a content-level splicing error rather than a code logic error. This is more visible in Regular recitation of Fatih Seferagic where the chops are somewhere mid-ayah suggesting that there was no manual intervention to review ayah-by-ayah audio.

Hypothesis 3: Latency in Stop Command

The playback engine might be utilizing a look-ahead buffer. If the stop/loop command isn't sent with enough lead time to the audio hardware abstraction layer, the "tail" of the buffer (which already contains the start of the next Ayah) is flushed through the speakers before the stop command is processed.

Environment:

App: GTAF Quran (Android)

Reciters tested: Mishary Al-Afasy WBW, Fatih Seferagic, Various Murattal/Mujawwad.

Would love to get some dev eyes on this—fixing this would make the repeat functionality much more seamless for hifz!

Currently, the navigation menu auto-hides automatically while playing a Surah, even when actively clicking the arrows to skip verses. This creates significant friction for users who prefer manual control over the UI.

Proposed Solution:

Sticky Menu Toggle: Add an option in Settings to disable "Auto-hide menu."

Manual Dismissal: Adopt a "tap-to-hide" or "tap outer boundaries" interaction model, which is standard in most media and reading applications.

Why this matters:

The current behavior forces the user to keep re-triggering the menu during active study or navigation. Additionally, reducing non-essential popups (like streak reminders) would greatly improve the focus-oriented nature of the app.

Whenever I leave the app on an ayah and chapter and then come back to the app from my recents, it will jump to Surah Fatihah instead of the Surah I was on and will multiply my translations; I have three translations selected and they turn into so many repeated translations which can only be fixed by going onto translations, turning them all off, pressing done to get out of it, then going back into translation to select them all again.

There are few waqf marks given here and there are more waqf marks. I would have benefited more if you gave them.

Like - ق and ط

My understanding is it will show 4 forms of a verb.

But we are missing the negative form.

Is this a UI issue or I am misunderstanding the feature?

If I am misunderstanding please educate me about this.

Last ayah of selected range always plays a very little bit of next ayah.

When you click on the last word in an ayah it shows the whole ayah translation, as if you clicked ld on the ayah number, Not just that word. Have found this to be the case on iPad mini and pro iPhone too

Assalamu'alykum. Sound for ayat 5 of Surah Jathiyah is different than other ayats for the same reciter. Pls check.

Assalamu Alaikum.

I am using the Al Quran app and noticed an issue with the audio playback feature. When I enable the word-by-word highlight and auto scroll option, it works normally when playing from the beginning. However, if I jump to another ayah, the highlighting stops moving word by word.

For example, while listening to Surah Al-Baqarah, if I start from Ayah 77, the ayah only gets highlighted once and does not continue highlighting word by word along with the audio.

Please look into this issue and fix it in a future update.

When playing an ayah on the windows app, it plays the correct ayah but moves the screen back to my last read bookmark. This does not happen on the phone app. In order to see the ayah as it plays, I have to bookmark it, go back to the main page and rhen go back to the quran.

Older one was better to us compared the newer one.
